Anyone get to see any of the first weekend of the ME power league - they played at Team Indiana facility - 17s / 18s.  Some good teams.  I got to see a few.  NYKVC, Municana 18-1, Kiva 18 Red and Team Z 18 Orange all went 5-0.  Muncie looked to have 5-6 girls back from last years 18s team and they looked strong.  Team Z looked like they had most of the girls back from last year two (although only 7 girls were there).  Missing Ward and Moeller - but the other 7 all played the past two years with that team i believe.

Do you know who the 5th team to win their group was? It would've been one of the following: Indy Jrs 18-1, Cincy Classics 17 Red, TI 18 Venom, Cincy Classics 18 Red.

I also heard Team Z 17 Orange looked good, playing KIVA's 18s very close (lost 15-10 in the 3rd). That group won the 16s power league last year.

Weekend #2 for the 17s and 18s takes place this weekend in Louisville. Three 17s teams qualified for the "A" pools, and the 17s champion will almost certainly come from one of those three since the next highest 17s team is buried all the way down in C. Anyway, here are the 17/18 "A" Pools:

Pool A1
KIVA 18 Red
Cincy Classics 17 Red
Michigan Elite 18-1
Team Z 17 Orange

Pool A2
Team Z 18 Orange
Munciana Samurai (18s)
MAVA 18 Elite
KIVA 17 Red

Should be great competition as all 8 of these teams were ranked in the top 50 in the preseason rankings.

Also this weekend are the seeding tournaments for 13/14 (in Indianapolis) and 15/16 (in Muncie).

Both IVA 17-1s and Nashville Alliance 17-1's are in pool B...but the 3 17's listed above (KIVA, TeamZ and Cincy Classics) are definately the cream of that age group.

My mistake on the Killer B's. They didn't have an age listed with their team name, so I mistakenly assumed the highest seeded IVA team would be their 18s (and I even checked the website, but somehow missed them).

Alliance didn't play at the first weekend, so I am under the assumption that they are making a guest appearance in the league. Alliance did this one weekend last year as did A5, Circle City, and probably others that I am forgetting.

Any surprises this weekend for anyone?

I thought the top of the 15/16's stayed as expected with KIVA 15 and 16 Red, Union 16, NKYVC 16, TI 16 all going 5-0 - not sure if Munciana 16 or Team Z 16 came out on top of the final group.

It was actually Munciana's 15s team that beat Team Z 16 Orange in that final group.

2nd Place teams (2 of these get bumped up to the next MEPL date's "A" group):

Munciana Tigers (will almost certainly get moved up)
KIVA 16 White
Cincy Classics 16 Black
TI Sway
Cincy Classics 16 Red
Team Z 16 Orange

That second spot will likely go to either TI, Classics 16 Red, or Team Z.

In 18, the A pool finished like this (they are a weekend ahead of the 16s):
1. Munciana Samurai
2. Team Z 18 Orange
3-4 KIVA 18 Red, Michigan Elite 18-1
5-6 MAVA 18 Elite, KIVA 17 Red
7. Team Z 17 Orange
8. Cincy Classics 17 Red
