Building a sand court in my back yard...help! |
Lead | |
|
I am building a sand court in my back yard. It is looking great. My court builder laid down some quarter inch red lines to the 30' x 60' size -- or 9
meter. I called a local bar that has a sand court, and they said that I should ask for 2 inch web lines (a tape, not rope) in black. BUT they also said to make
the court the 26.2' x 52.5' -- or 8 meter. They said that is the size that all courts are set at regardless of whether we play for fun or competitive.
What should I do?

1st...9m x 18m is not the same as 30x60. If you go with the 30 x 60 dimensions, you'll be off by 6" on width, and a foot on length.
2nd-use the tape. 3rd-doubles court is 8m x 16m, and I would recommend it unless you plan on playing a lot of 6 on 6 |

Does anyone have a resource on how to build one? We'd love to have one at our high school.
