C'mon Illinois, let's hear some positive news about what is happening here. I know we have some of the Best Volleyball Programs in the Nation, but lets hear what is going on at your Club. Anyone doing anything special with getting their Kids recruited? How about Charity work? Anyone have any new Fundraising ideas? Lets hear it Illinois!

Lots of great competition. Looks like the top eight are: Munciana 18 Samurai Fusion 18 Black SPVB 18 Elite Milwaukee Sting 18 Gold 1st Alliance 18 Silver SPVB 18 Red Illini Elite 18 Cardinal Dead Frog 18 Black (did they play in Power League last year?) Looks to be a strong group once again.

Tournament season is just starting. I'm sure there will be a lot of chatter in the next week or two. I will paying more attention. It is always good to have the six weeks or so between the end of high school and the beginning of club tournament season. Need time to re-charge!

I may be wrong on this, but of the 28 teams in the Gold Division, 25 are not participating in the USAV qualifying process and JOs. It will be interesting to see who gets the bids from the Great Lakes, Badger, Lake Shore and Hoosier regions. From what I saw today, Fusion 18 Black looked great as did SPVB 18 Elite (not a surprise on either account). Murphy and Ward are just amazing. So fun to watch. Capital 16s (I think from Madison) played really tough - they are tall and will be fun to watch improve this season. It was great to see the Michigan Teams. Dead Frog was really strong. Now that the Michigan teams have a level playing field, I expect that we will see even more great teams from that state. It was also nice to see Sky High there. Club Fusion had four teams win their pool today, SPVB and 1st Alliance both had three teams win their pool today. So, the strong are still strong (not a surprise). Arielle Wilson from Penn State made an appearance at Great Lakes today. Fun to see players from the region making such an impact on the national stage.
