Recruiting sites? |

Yes, I know I asked this before, but I didn't get a lot of response so I thought I would try again. What are the best sites to get your athlete exposure? I
am putting together a list for my athlete as well as friends on her team. If you have used the subscription services please post your experience and opinions
of their value.

berecruited gets my vote | ||

I like berecruited myself if you like to include video clips and pictures. Very easy to upload pictures and videos (I think the max size video clip is 300mb). The sections are broken down between academics, athletics, photos and videos with freeform sections in each to add more information. And it is easy to search or browse the other profiles to get ideas on what you might want to include in your profile. My daughter has had many contacts from her profile and even some scholarship offers just based on the info and highlights on the site without even seeing her play in person. But she also has profiles on Rich Kern and University Athlete as well. |

You can get your athlete her own exposure (and for less money) by handling things yourself. Cbound (www.cbound.com) talks about this and has articles on the Prep web site. |

Thanks for the input MatrixDad. I agree that the "free" part of berecruited.com seems to be the best. We are considering what "fee" sites
we want to spend our money on.
jhawktobe- I agree that for some such as myself that have the ability to do so, self promotion is the way to go. There will be those in our group that don't have the time and/or ability and want to pay to have it done for them. I hope to offer information for all of the above. http://www.cbound.com added to the list. |

For those that want to build your athletes website I have found one that is template based and easy to use. Of course it has limitations, but it does not have
pop-up or banner ads to contend with.
Check it out at- http://www.synthasite.com |

Video & Photos | ||

We will be releasing a completely re-designed site in December. Players will be able to post videos from Youtube, Vimeo, or any other web site as well as photo
galleries from Picasa, Flckr, or any other photo site. There will be no fee for this and it all integrates with our college coaches web site. (>95% of the
schools with athletic scholarship money use us, so it's pretty much a no brainer).
If a coach searches for you, they will see that you have video and photos posted and can click straight to them. It's looking pretty good so far. |

UA- You guys are doing a great job. I have had my athletes profile on there for a while. Looking forward to your new version.

...not necessarily a "recruiting site", but I have found this site to be particularly helpful with the process:
