Last year I played on a national club volleyball team and this year i have an oppertunity to play on another national team but higher rankings/better team.
But the one of the things the coach says i need to work on is my height when i jump. Club tryouts are comming up in 2 1/2 weeks so if anybody has any
advice/suggestions on how to strengthen my leg muscles please let me know.

Jumping higher usually takes a little longer than 2 weeks. In two weeks you could gain about an inch, but as anyone who has had success jumping higher knows,
it takes 6-10 weeks, cycled on and off for 1-2 years.
In addition, jumping performance is very specific to the individual. Two people that don't jump very high may have two completely different solutions needed to make them jump higher. If anyone is interested in further details, let me know! It's not easy to jump higher, but it is definitely possible. |

Work on core.(mid section). Also: Do leg workouts at the gym, 3 sets of 30 and then jump rope for 1 min. in between. Do plyometrics (google it). Do jumps at
net or fake net, move 2-3 steps and do 2 more. Repeat going the other way. Jump every day 15 min. (Big jumps...like squat jumps, block jumps and more). Even 2
weeks of this should help. Most of this was gotten from our coach. Glad to share. Good luck.

I'm not really one to critique, but can't let anyone do the below mentioned exercises as prescribed. |
