Where? Laguna Beach High School - 5 courts, weight training facility and plyometrioc room. Thurston Intermediate School - 2 courts. Thurston is located just a mile and a half from Laguna Beach High School.
Who? Lance Stewart will be the Director and Head Coach for 900sqftvbc. Former owner of Laguna Beach Vollleyball Club. Former partner and Boys Director for Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club. Former Junior Olympic MVP, Former Collegiate Club MVP, Former CIF Southern Section Player of the Year, Former California Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Former CIF Southern Section Coach of the Year. Currently the Head Coach of the defending Back to Back CIF Girls Division II Champions at Laguna Beach and also the Head Coach of the Laguna Beach Boys Varsity Program. Coach Stewart has over 25 years of coaching experience in Southern California, from Junior College to NAIA to Pro Beach Women to Division 1 women and men.
What? 900sqft will be hoding open tryouts for both Boys 12-18 teams and Girls 12-14 teams in September 2008. Girls 15-18 teams will hold tryouts in November 2008 and will commence workouts in January 2009. Yes, the girls will get a break in between their High School seasons and the start of Club. "More is not better, better is better."
