We had an R1 yell at our girls when the score wasn't flipped quick enough. But couldn't call a double to save his life, and called tiny lifts, and let the ugly lifts go ( like a power tip from behind the players head).
There has to be some level of consistancy. I'm not talking about the provisional refs that are calling upper division volleyball matches for some reason. I'm talking about established refs.
If you're going to make a call at the beginning of the game, make it at the end of the game. Even if it does determine the match. A point to get to 25, has the same value as a point to get to 6.
