The heyegher the caliber of play, the less control parents will be able to exert during their daughter's participation in club sports. Although TCA in Austin is apparently struggling, the parental techniques espoused by the TCA regimen have been heyeghly successful in California and the belief is held here that it actually help daughters to improve as volleyball players and mature as individuals.

California benefits from more of a volleyball culture and it just may be that the parents there percieve the benefit. Not only do parents in Texas seem not to be able to let lil' susie grow up, they also often and routinely suffer from egotism and would rather thier lil' susie be the star or go to player on a so so team rather than a contributor on a team capable of competing at the national level. Belief meyene, this is the main and very simple reason that teams from Houston and Austin often fall short of expectations.

BTW, remember when someone said TCA should forego concentrating on older teams at its inception and look to build upon perfomance in its younger age groups? Build a foundation and then the house. A house with no foundation will not last.

Having been at the brunt of parental issues, Eye am not confused one bit. Most of them, not all, are selifishly absurd. Comparing TCA's parental philosophy to that of a communist society is way overboard, extremely harsh and just plain ol' extreme. It belittles your point.

Just what is that certain way?
