Costa won't be losing that key player to Independent Study because they have just started a program for their "Elite Athletes" among others so
they don't lose them to Redondo who has had this program all along. If you haven't guessed by now, Barney is correct

Lakewood have a good team coming back this year. Good coaching makes a different, and I'm sure Mr. Waldly will get his girls ready to defend Moore league
tittle.

Wilson High in Long Beach has 8 from this year JO's
1 from the 14's 3 from Cal Jrs.....McNaney, Johnson and Marshall 4 from Miz.....Culbertson, Woolever, Nicholson, Pabst Believe the remaining roster spots will have girls that played at the JO's this year either in 17's or 18's. |

The setter from the 14's Long Beach team that won the gold medal is Rebecca Strehlow. However, at this time, I'm not sure if they have determined if
she is varsity at Wilson.
Tyler Jackson did not medal...the 15's at Long Beach tied for 5th. |

JT...
Believe the remaining roster spots will have girls that played at the JO's this year either in 17's or 18's. I referenced them in the above statement in my post.....I only mentioned the other girls by name as they actually metaled at JOs Pula, Andersen, Pacheco and Drenan I believe will be the other roster playes if memory serves me and these were the girls on Miz and Cal Jrs, 17-18. Lakewood also had a few girls on those teams as well....so should be a good battle between those 2 teams....Poly will also field a strong team. |

Top S. Cali Teams this year..... | ||
|
LB Wilson has a power packed team this year, I predict they will even take Mira Costa this year, at Ann Kang tourney in Hawaii Wilson was missing three key
players and almost had Costa without them. It'll be an interesting year.

So Cal teams | ||
|
Saw the final match in Hawaii.....Both So Cal teams are loaded with talent. Give Mira Costa credit, they played very well in Hawaii, went to others than Falyn at times, are a strong team and the champions....these two teams hopefully will meet in a few other tourneys....the 2 matches they played were filled with excellent play and exciting action....Anderson set well and the outsides were swinging away. Wilson dug lots of balls with McNaney and Nicholson leading the way, great sets and Johnson hitting away and a thunderous block in game 2 on Falyn at 25 all. Drennan came on strong and the freshman for Wilson was impressive. It was a well played match with sportsmanship....great for the tournament and all us fans attending. |

Thousand Oaks should be awesome this year........... took Redondo to a very close 5 in CIF last year. They have many returning senior players, including
incredibly talented setter Hannah Clancy.....
