WVBA, PS and SI Teams are participating in JO"s, JVDA or Festival. Noticed that seven of the eight KJ teams ended their season after ECC. Just their
17's is continuing with Nationals.
Good write up on the college volleyball coach about Champianship Play. http://www.collegevolleyballcoach.com/ |

It is certainly something to think about in making a decision for what club and team to join, whether or not they will be attending a final season tournament.

That's awesome that NW is having so many teams participate in the final season tournaments.
WVBA has 4 teams going to Nationals and 2 teams playing in the JDVA Champianship's. |

Here is a write up on one of the teams attending the JVDA Championships. The Japanese teams are very good. My oldest daughter's college team played some
teams from Japan in one of their tournaments and Wow no one expected them to win! They were great.
Japanese High School Power to Attend JVDA Championships Written by jvdaorg Tuesday, May 27, 2008 Kyushu Bunka Gakuen high school of Nagasaki, Japan will be attending the JVDA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, June 27-30. Bunka Gakuenis led by head coach Mr. Hiroaki Inoue who has guided his team to 11 National High School championships and 26 Final Four appearances in his 27 years of coaching. "We are very excitedabout attending the JVDA championship" said Inoue."We are working veryhard to bring the Gold Medal back to Japan." The Japanese are known around the world for their extraordinary skills. Since the Japanese do not have a club system similar to other countries, their junior high and high school teams train year round, some literally practicing or competing 365 days per year. "The JVDA is very excited about having the Japanese team attend our inaugural championship," said Rich Zeciski, JVDA President. "The Japanese are known around the world for having fantastic technical skills and great team spirit. Their appearance in Louisville should be a treat for all those who are in attendance. |

List of Teams in 17 open at JVDA Champ. Six Flags is in same parking lot as the Kentucky Expo, has a huge water park too. $5 parking covers the vb tournament /
Six Flags and Water Park. It will be fun! Maybe we'll have lot's of college coaches coming to see great players and have some fun too.

That was one fun team to watch. It sure seemed like that team had very good chemistry despite some girls being new additions. Congratulations to those girls!
Question: Beyond the obvious answer of the girls, how have KJ and WAVA been able to put very good teams together and then keep them together over the long term? This just doesn't seem to be the case with the other clubs. Interested in some feedback. |

These clubs provide some great coaching and are committed and dedicated to developing players and competing at a high level. One thing stands out, they provide
their teams an opportunity to play great teams from other regions by playing in the open divisions. This brings them up to compete on a national level.
There are several other clubs that provide a quality club coaching package as well. |

I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or comments on the HP camp, particularly the choices of the "top 12" in the Youth camp. Based on the
feedback from some of the parents there were a number of surprising choices made.

There is no list posted on the region website- of course- so I was hoping to get a roster as well.

Because teams were getting ready for nationals and players starting to explore college camps, the HP Camp was missing players from some of the larger clubs. There was no players from UP16, only 2-3 each from WVBA16 and PSVBC16 and my daughter was the only one from KJ16. |
