As with most JVDA supporters, I am not interested in any validation. This is a great tournment with teams from coast to coast, California to New York, Wisconsin to Texas - even teams from Hawaii and Japan. And MANY of these clubs have a history of taking home ALOT of hardware from USAV. No "validation" needed, just looking for some coverage for these deserving girls.

I'm just a parent and thus have "parental biases" but I can tell you that 17 Open looks like a rematch of teams that fought it out at AAU's with Mava playing Illini Elite 17 Cardinal and Kiva playing Sports Performance. (Kiva defeated SPVB in Orlando in 3 close games).

8 teams in Gold for 17 Club with M-Juniors 17 Maize and Kiva 17 White winning pools 1 and 2. Capital 17 Elite and Premier 17-1 are in. Don't know about the other 4 but pretty sure Coast 17 Mizuno Mike and Team Indiana 17 TNT made it out of their pool.

Sports Performance and Kiva have teams in most age divisions that are still undefeated. Should be some great matches tomorrow.

Transformeer: you "heard" wrong. The lights were out on 10 of the 80 courts (you do the math) and lights were back on in 6 hours but play had already been rescheduled for the evening.
