This time I actually did. I enter all our results and we are like 53-18. I feel like entering my results is a waste of time. Clearly no one looked at our
results. We are a two seed in our pool and I realistically thought we would be top 5 overall. I've looked at the teams that are 1 seeds and I just
don't get it. There are teams higher than us that really haven't beaten anyone great or done well in big tournaments. I just don't get it. I know
we have to beat everyone to be the best and we plan on doing just that!

I am not knocking the JVDA tournament or the organization. I enjoy being a part of it. I am knocking whoever seeded this thing. There are at least 6 teams
ahead of us that we have beaten or beaten their 1s team. Just doesnt make sense to me at ALL

If you are knocking the seeding....you must be knocking the JVDA or the tournament organizers....surely one of the two did the seedings...

Did you not read what I just said!!! I enjoy being part of the JVDA and support what they are trying to do. The seeding for the tournament is screwed up in 17 Club. |

what happened to Impact 17 Silver? They are not listed on AES as being in the tournament. After I had read so much on this forum about how good they are I was
looking forward to watching them play.

Impact 17 Silver won the Southern Region bid and will compete in Dallas in 17 National next weekend. My daughter plays for 16 Purple (which is now 17 Purple
but listed as 17 Black) and will be playing at JVDA in 17 Club. Looking forward to a great weekend.

Seeding shouldn't have any bearing if you go out and beat teams like you believe you will. Isn't how you FINISH at the end of the tournament more
important than how you start? Granted, you may have beaten some other teams during the season, and if you beat them in this tournament, then the proverbial
chips will fall as they should. BTW, this is not coming from someone from a top seeded team - my daughter's team is seeded at the bottom of the final 14
Open pool (the only 5 team pool), but we're not complaining, even though a few teams that placed lower than us in the only JVDA event we were in got a
higher seeding than us. We're going in with a positive attitude and expecting to finish higher than where we're seeded. If you are so upset with the
seeding, use it to motivate the players and have them perform on the court and show whomever seeded them so low how wrong they were.

I can tell you that we have beaten head to head 5 teams that are seeded ahead of us. I know we have better overall records than at least 3, some I can find
all their results. We know that we have to beat everyone to be the best. I think we really had high hopes of getting a high seed and were really disappointed
and shocked when we were so low and behind so many teams that we've beaten. We brought out our frustrations on here. We would not be complaining if we
were top 13 or so. It just gets frustrating when time after time you don't think you're seeded fairly. We're over the frustration now and look
forward to just playing and having fun in Louisville.

Last year, our team only had two losses going into nationals. Both teams we lost to won two national qualifiers each. They seeded us in the middle of the pack. And they seeded us behind most of the teams we had beaten. We kind of thought that stunk too. Even though we had the eventually silver medalist in our opening day pool, we still advanced and made it to the gold bracket. Good luck. And I hope you prove them wrong on their seeding (unless you are playing against our club and then I have to go with the home team:) |

Yes we do plan on taking first in our pool day one. But we'll see. We have something to prove but we're just going to go out and play and have fun.
We will keep you posted!
What I meant was that we only played 5 of the teams that are seeded ahead of us and beat those 5. Based on the results I've seen I think we should still be higher than some of the other teams we haven't played. But it is what it is. We are on to Louisvlle tomorrow! |
