And if we didn't have deadlines, the seedings would never get done. Just look at how long it took some other people on this board to compile their results.
It took me a week just to clean up all the team names/codes to get the correct results. Most teams do not report their results after the deadlines anyways.
Plus, some teams are trying out some new kinks with their teams while getting ready for nationals after qualifying.
