This thread is for those of us that will be attending the event. If you have any "facts" regarding this event please add them. There have been several threads started regarding the JVDA Championship Tournament, but most of them have turned negative.

Please DO NOT post here if you don't have positive input pertaining to the JVDA Championship Tournament.

Unofficial schedule-
Registration has not ended as of yet so it is a little difficult to judge. That being said, all teams will play on all 4 days. The TENTATIVE end time is on Monday between 5 and 6 pm.

From the JVDA web site, I am having a hard time seeing any teams other than the 18 year-old age group. I tried on two computers. If someone can access it, can they post the list for the other age groups?

I am really looking forward to this inaugural event. We attended the JVDA tournament at Wis Dells and it was amazing! As our team plays Fusion on a regular basis, I usually would not normally give accolades to Fusion, but when I heard the Fusion coach sing the Canadian National Anthem, I thought, this is really cool! There were plenty of college coaches present as well.

For those of you who are worried, I don't think that all these top-ranked teams would "go out on a limb" unless they were pretty confident and willing to promote the success of the JVDA. As far as USA Volleyball, this is the 1st year in 4 that we have not participated in the qualifiers, but at this point, I can live with either, JVDA or USA Volleyball. I think they are both trying to accomplish the same thing.

Kyushu Bunka Gakuen high schoolof Nagasaki, Japan will be attending the JVDA Championship in Louisville,Kentucky, June 27-30. Bunka Gakuenis led by head coach Mr. Hiroaki Inoue who has guided his team to 11 NationalHigh School championships and 26 Final Four appearances in his 27 years ofcoaching. The Japanese are known around theworld for their extraordinary skills. Since the Japanese do not have a clubsystem similar to other countries, their junior high and high school teamstrain year round, some literally practicing or competing 365 days per year.

Rich Zeciski, JVDAPresident: "The JVDA is veryexcited about having the Japanese team attend our inaugural championship. The Japanese are known around the worldfor having fantastic technical skills and great team spirit. Their appearance in Louisville shouldbe a treat for all those who are in attendance".
