This means the 14's, 15's and 16's ALL WIN SCVA REGIONALS and finish #1 Overall in Points!! Wow, pretty impressive... not sure if any other club in SCVA history has ever won (3) different age groups in one season?! Anyone know?

I stand corrected, they finished as the 3rd best of all the 13's teams participating in the 14-Under SCVA Regionals. When you add up all of the points, including Regionals, I think SCVA still doubles your regionals' points: I show Encenitas Wave 13's (of course) #1, followed by San Gabriel 13's (great little team) and then Mizuno Long Beach #3.... followed by Sunshine 13's.

Thank you for taking the time to notice and response to my posting. To your satisfaction, the 13's results have been updated in my previous post and now show Mizuno LB 13's #3 overall....yayyyy!, do you feel better?

Please let me know if there is any other corrections that may need attention -- take the time out to remind us and in the meantime, we'll be licking off the 'fudge' from our spoons.

I wish the SCVA would post results sooner, make a better effort with publicity and honoring our gals/guys and most of all -- making it a point to keep up with our rich history of Southern California volleyball.

I really don't intend to be tough on our own region (I'm happy it's here!), but being a parent of four girls -- playing over the last 14 years, it's very unfortunate to see that we have some of the best teams (if not the best overall) in the entire country, yet our region does a very poor job in keeping at par with other regions throughout the country.

Some of my main complaints:

- The lack of consistent posting of results / playing sites and schedules/ history/ Important Updates. Overall the info on SCVA site is better, but we should expect more.
- Hosting a "true" Junior National Qualifier (convention ctr., all in one location, plaques)... teams around the US that come to the SCVA JNQ often are shocked about the facilities, scheduling and overall experience.

- No Bid Tournament (lazy points system, so-cal style)

- No Championship trophies or medals (nothing for Regional Champions or Points winners?!?)

- Zero involvement with honoring regional teams and even posting JO/ Festival post-tournament results (even a little pub would be nice).

-Horrible regional schedule! Sometimes (some years) you play M1 one week, off for 5-6 weeks, or you play Mandatories 3-4 weekends in a row! Also, DO NOT have a 16's!!! tournament during SAT testing dates... come on SCVA! It does not take that much effort to look up the test dates etc!

- For no real explanation, the SCVA does not allow clubs to host big tournaments etc.. (i.e. Great Lakes region, JNC and Pre-National tournaments) in effort to bring in some talent to our part of the country for pre-National competition.

Fees keep going up, service keeps going down (love when coaches do their own reffing!)--- according to public record, Ann Davenport still makes her annual 6-figure salary.
