There is virtually no reference to head to head results being used in the seeding of ECC. It is seeded using almost exclusively the power league rankings from the different regions that have them.
BTW, NW Jrs 15s finished the final rankings in the PSR power league in the #11 position...
This is behind ECC-entered teams: WVBA 16, Olympia 16-1, KJ 16 Baden, WVBA 15, SIVBC 16, PSVBC 16, PSVBC 15, Edmonds Elite 16, and Capital 15 Ice. For ECC they were seeded ahead of Edmonds Elite 16 and Capital 15, who they finished behind in the final rankings of Power Leauge.
So...Coach J, do you still think they were unfairly seeded?
Oh, this is going to be fun...![]()
First of all, there are references to head to head results being used in the seeding of ECC. Well, at least they
have us use signuptoplay to report all our matches. And apparently anyone can sign up and see results posted by each team. Thanks for the correction
vbmomster. I'd put the fancy cut and paste in here but, I'm pretty sure you've seen what I'm talking about.
Second of all, this isn't a "regional" tournament. Power league has nothing to do with this tournament, thus coaches having to put in results on signuptoplay. Now, I do know 15 Thunder didn't put in any results...SHAME ON THEM. I think my initial reaction was to the fact that WVBA had an 11 seed with a team that hasn't lost to them in several months, February I think, was a 25 seed. Beat them twice at Prime Time and won 15 Regionals without losing a match. (Granted a lot of 15's teams went to Reno and WVBA took 3rd at the 16's regionals...impressive!)
Sorry vbmomster...dedub started it!btw...I agree with you on your other points as far as internal regional events. Power League is great! Just better hope you don't have a bad first weekend!
