KJ 18 and at large bid? |
Lead | |
|
I heard through the grapevine that KJ 18's received an at large bid to JOs. I checked the USA Volleyball web site for 18 open teams and KJ is not listed.
Can someone in the "know" comfirm?

Sudden Impact and KJ tied for 5th at Prime Time, but Sudden Impact got the reallocation bid. I assume based on Power League standings. However, that means:
1) Puget Sound (who got 2nd at Prime Time), Island Thunder (3rd) and Ohana (4th) all passed on the American bid and 2) We really need to play off for 5th/6th (heck, maybe 7th,8th) if Prime Time results are to be used for national bids. The rules for Power League are different than those for Prime Time and the results should not determine Prime Time bids. KJ was/is a very schizophrenic team this year. They just missed qualifying in Open twice, did very well at Vegas, and beat every NW team on the national stage (except WVBA, who they kept losing to 26-24) but for some reason really struggled in local tournaments. Hopefully they will play ECC like a qualifier, not like a local tournament.

Word has it that PS may be headed to the JVDA tournament in Louisville.
If that is confirmed that means that both WAVBA and PS will be sending teams to Louisville. |
