Yeah, I think that is true. True open teams don't really enjoy playing 'club' level teams (or benefit from it) because their games sink some with
lesser competition. I suppose that some teams, who could play with the pros but not win, just want to go to JOs and so try and win club. But frankly, I
don't see the point in spending so much money so late in the season to go to AAU nationals or JOs and play in national or, worse, american divisions.
I'd rather spend the money on a family vacation and let my child get a break from VB if her team isn't one of the top teams in the country.
