Why does it take so long for the results of regionals to be posted on the Puget Sound Region USAV website? And A bid to Jo's for a sanctioned club that
changed it's name ?

VBClubParent,
Pretty amazing isn't it? Regarding the website, in all fairness it should be noted that most of the club websites in our region are also updated sporadically at best. In looking at those of the big clubs, only NWJRS and WAVA update theirs with any consistency. KJ does update their 18's page with college commitments, and PSVBC's while getting a makeover doesn't seem to have been updated at all in months. Many of the others use the old EZTEAM format from circa 1990. It may just be that outside of a few people, these sites just don't get enough traffic to justify updating. |

Results take time to get. Keep in mind that the region office has to wait for results from multiple sources and venues. Given the choice they are probably
waiting for all the results to come and post them all at once rather than little by little -- which tends to get even more people upset than the fact that they
are not up at all. Post the results they have and they get calls or e-mails wondering where the other are...

The money/guarantee that clubs put up for Prime Time is just that... a guarantee. The region just holds it ($450 per club) so that if a team qualifies and
decides not to go, that is their "fine". No one has lost that "deposit" as far as I can remember.
The actual process is that all the teams that think they might qualify for Nationals in any event (Qualifiers or our Prime Time) has to go through the complete entry process. That means register/apply online and send a check for the entry fee ($900) to the region office, they verify the entry, then send it to the National office. Once a team qualifies, the national office processes the entry. Our region has always financially supported its teams to Nationals... I think they reimburse 100% of the entry fee for teams that qualify OPEN, and 50% for teams that qualify NATIONAL or AMERICAN. That gets sent to the club directly as a reimbursement, because the club would have already paid the entry fee. Hope that helps |

Possible Festival Cities...
I've been told by a reliable source... Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Diego are the final three candidates for relocation. I think Phoenix might be their #1 choice (that's where I'd like to see it moved). |
