Thequestion is are these teams playing this current season working with background checked coaches? If the sanctioned club could not provide this but found a club that can provide this for their players/teams in some way could that not be construed as an attempt to have the girls not suffer for the consequences of a big screw up on the adults part?

From the start up boys side I can vouch that the requirement for background checks for all those on the court working with kids was stressed. I wholly support this and trust that the adults that did not take this requirement seriously are not allowed to work with youth for at least this season and for future seasons until they have some plan in place to meet the requirement. The bottom line is that we need to ensure kids are protected but also are allowed the opportunity to participate in this great sport.

What I would like to see is the Puget Sound website post information anytime there is a sanctions on a local club/s. As a parent this would be invaluable information to have from somewhere more official than a message board.
