Don't know as it's not posted on the HOA nor the USAV sites...and Springfield is a long-distance call for me

. The Open field will be set today with the 17s currently being the only team not posted. Saw on another thread where the Regions have been notified about the Re-allocations coming their way. Anyhow, I'm thinking all ages and divisions will probably be done and posted on USAV by this weekend at which time I'll start my in-depth analysis of the field, or at least for 17 Open

Sorry to shift subjects but want to extend my congratulations to Allison Mayfield (Invasion-Swat 18, Aquinas) for being named Scholar-Athlete of the KC Metro Area. I can't think of anyone more deserving. Great kid, great family. This is a huge honor. To be able to maintain such a high academic standing while participating in both club and school athletics is commendable. Great job, Allison.

That is a fantastic honor and well deserved! Enjoy these last high school days. You have had a great run at Aquinas and now can look forward to the next chapter at KU...can't wait to see those booming kills as a JAYHAWK...

KCEXTREME-2 receives an At-Large to JOs. CONGRATS! This was the team incorrectly awarded a bid by the Region and then left out in the cold when the discrepancy was noted. Nice to see that they're still going!

C'Line, I don't see another 17s American Bid coming our way which makes me wonder why the playoff between Springfield and MAVs 2. Looks like the field is full minus one bid in Flordia yet TBD.

...did not personally attend as the social calendar was full and the times when DD are out of the house cherished.

Report from DD was no scrimmage just a lot of controlled situational play...besides 18 want none of us...

Also sounded like a lot of pats and congrats due to the great article on Allison Mayfield and PIP committing to Missouri. That coupled with everyone trying to get close to Pip and Morgan R as they have tickets for David Cook's concert today....

All fields for the 2008 USA Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships have been posted. Consistent with previous posts, and the age C'Line has been attesting to for the last two decades, 39 is the magic number!

It's actually 8 bids for MAVS (12-1, 12-2, 12-3, 13-1, 13-2, 14-1, 15-1, 16-1). That is out of a total of 16 teams eligible to receive a bid to JOs (no 11 year-old division at JOs and they did not have an 18's team this year). That is a percentage of 50%. Congrats to all the teams and clubs...this is a great showing for the HOA region.

...great catch. It is indeed 8 bids for the MAVs. Also considered the comment on the 11s and agree it's unfair to include them in the analysis as that was not their intent, to qualify for JOs. Same was applied to the other clubs as well as to eliminate Silver and Bronze level teams as, again, it is not their intent to qualify for JOs.

With those two elements considered, and the error corrected, here is the new and improved analysis:

Added in, to be consistent, the Mavs Gold teams in Lawrence. The table lists bids per club in each division; total bids; total Gold teams registered to the club. Rating factor remains "bids received/gold teams in club".
