"Squeeze Box" by The Who ================================== I still remember the presenter who years ago put 2 dimes on the glass of the overhead projector (I told you this was years ago). He started out his presentation by moving the dimes from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. He proudly announced that he just demonstrated the "Pair-O-Dime Shift". Amazingly, his presentation went downhill from there.

So there are companies making candy that tastes like pot and then there are stores that think it's a great idea to sell this stuff. I mean, hell it's only candy right? That, in and of itself, is a relatively humorous article and could probably elicit some witty banter on The Balcony: Johnny: Duuude, how many licks does it take to get to the center? Blazer: Duuude, I never can find out. I take a few and then dive right into the bag of Doritos. Then I forget where I put the lollipop. Stuff like that. HOWEVER, if you keep reading the article, you'll find that the GA senator who is pushed this bill through legislation is........wait for it.......Sen. Doug STONER!!!! I mean, COME ON!!!

I suggest our next topic of discussion is about the dumbest things we have ever seen. While on my way home recently, I saw a person in the next lane driving and sending a text message at the same time. While this has become a more common practice, the thing that made this different is that the person was operating a motorcycle, not a car. I mean seriously, there are easier ways to kill yourself.

I was hungry, and being the healthy eater that I am I chose to go to McDonalds. I wanted a bagel breakfast sandwich. If you know McDs and the bagel sandwiches I believe they only come with the choice of either sausage or bacon. I didn't want those I wanted ham also known at MceeDs as Canadian BACON, which is what comes on the Egg McMuffin. The ORDER: vbgans: Hi can I get two bagel sandwiches but with ham. young lady taking order: We don't have ham. vbgans: You don't have ham? ylto: No. We have sausage and bacon. vbgans: Well, what do you put on your Egg McMuffins then? ylto: Oh that is Canadian bacon. vbgans: (trying not to laugh as hard as I can and not make fun of this young lady at the same time) Yeah...I will take two of those on a bagel sandwich. ylto: Ok anything else? vbgans: NOPE ylto: your order is $$$$$ please pay at first window. It was early and I didn't want to start my daying being my normal smart a@# self, so I gave my money nicely to the young lady. I feel bad that I had chance to educate a 15-17 year old that CANADIAN BACON is a stylish word for HAM, but chose not to. I don't think I would have educated her in the proper voice tone at that point.

It is made of meat from the back of the hog. Ham is made with the haunch or leg of the hog. Totally different parts. So strictly speaking, the 15 year old kid was right. The bacon that we are used to is known also as streaky or fatty bacon and that comes from belly of the hog, which is why pork bellies market is a big part of the commodities exchange, they are basically deciding the price of bacon. When asked what position she plays because it wasn't marked on her camp application, you get the reply "I play every position because (....wait for it....) our team rotates." 2. Mom calls to ask "What kind of shoes should my daughter wear for your camp?" 3. She asks if the camp will work on her "bumping" skills. 4. You're five minutes into the first session and she's spent three of those minutes with your trainer nursing the sprained duodenum she injured when she was four but still affects the way she plays. In fact, she knows she'd be up on that top court if that nagging injury didn't come back each year around this time. 5. When you ask her if she's excited to start up camp, she replies with "I didn't even know I was signed up until yesterday. Mom & dad wanted me out of the house. I think they're going to Greece." 6. There's no Varsity or club experience listed on the Elite Camp application, but she does have one whopping season playing in her church rec league on Thursday nights.

I don't even think it is ham anyways. 1) When for position she puts REAR END HITTER --loved that one 2)When the mother has to have 1 hour meeting with the trainer about her daughters 4 "chronic" conditions. She kept on using the word "Chronic" when I was listening in...I tried to tell the mom 30 min into the meeting we don't let them smoke at our camp. She didn't think it was funny, but my trainer had a good laugh.
