Additional Bid | ||
|
There was a rumor floating around the tournament yesterday, that since Dallas was the 'host' city for JOs, each age group got an additional bid.
Any truth to that rumor? Have all the bids been awarded? |

Shout Out! | ||
|
I just wanted to give a shout out to the dad in the green shirt (sorry, can't even remember what team you were with). There were 3 young men that showed
up with war paint, cow bells, plastic horns and clappers. EVERY single time their team scored a point, they stood up, cheered and raised their shirts,
apparently to reveal the team's name on their chests. (Since I was at the back of the crowd I couldn't tell you for sure.) At one point, this dad on
the second row stood and raised his shirt revealing a rather large and hairy belly. (Okay, so I couldn't see, but I am betting it was. Haa haaa haaaa.)
It was hilarious, but he got some very dirty looks and nasty comments from one of the other team's moms that turned around from the front row and got an
eye full.
But seriously, I thought that any type of artificial noise makers were banned. Has something changed? Please tell me this is not the shape of things to come. (Pardon the pun.) Daisy |

I do not know the rules in club. But I do know that in HS Volleyball that artificial noise makers are banned by the UIL.

No Rule for USAV | ||

The USAV rulebook doesn't address artificial noisemakers.
I do believe that in international matches, noisemakers are allowed, as I seem to remember seeing a picture earlier this year of a Japanese crowd with Thundersticks. |
