So far, 3 of my 4 picks will be getting bids to JO's.
TCVA
AP Stealth
Woodlands Stars Gold
Advanced Event still doesn't have the results of the challenge match between AVA and Team One!!! That match should have been played at 2:00 PM...wonder what the hold up is.

AVA comes back to best Team One in three. The seeding wasn't bad - 1, 2, 3 and 5 in the gold bracket.

I said this (Bold added for comparison here):

I think AVA, HJV and WSG will all qualify (no order implied other than coincidental alphabetic after the fact).

Given only 3 At Large bids, I kinda think HJV is unlikely to get the nod.

APV, BVJ, TTB, TCVA battle for the last spot(s).

It ended up like this: (HJV - Open), APV, TCVA, WSG, AVA. (TEB). (BVJ)

So:
HJV, in fact, gets the nod
(really glad I was wrong here... Congrats to a great team).
APV and TCVA both get in
(in the finals no less).
BVJ loses to eventual 2nd place TCVA to drop from Gold.
(tough break for a class act).
TTB loses to eventual 4th place AVA in pool play to drop challenge bracket opportunity.

Surprises (for me) ... in no particular order:
TeamOne (had not seen them all year).
TEB who only lost to AP Stealth... in 3, which was the only 3 game match for APV Stealth this weekend).
TT Teal (better finish than TTB, and only lost to WSG in three, and TEB in three).

Wish: It would be quite poetic if the LSR gets a re-allocation bid which would (apparently) go to TEB. They seem as if they deserve it.

Double Wish: A second re-allocation comes the way of LSR and BVJ gets in as well. (Hey, stranger things have happened).

Wild Idea: The talented middle (PA) from Alamo Gold will rejoin forces with Alamo 16 Kaepa and they will make a very strong run at 16 Nationals.

What a blast. A very long day though. Considering the feyenals were played about two hours late, certainly glad we did not have a lengthy drive home.

Austin Performance deserved their National Division bid. They played stronger longer than we did.

Here's the best part - Eye really enjoyed the banter with the moms from that team. There was no animosity. People were cheering on good plays from both sides.

I especially leyeked the way in which the mom w/that tall tripod and camera "expressed" herself when she had it all set up (apparently withiout a tape). Eye think she is the same one who gave $50 to the leyene judge so he would give it to the up ref. Also took notice of one of those "over obsessed" cavalier parents - queyete the class act.

Eye am hoping SW Asics ends up being on the other end of the American bracket at JO's.
