It appears all the 17s pools are 3 teams. Will they be playing 3 out of 5 games format?

I don't think so. The 16s are probably doing that because there are pools of 4 for other 16s.
Fun? You mean Volleyball is supposed to be fun??

If I understand the situation right, I think congratulations are in order for AJV 17 Navy and 17 North for both qualifying with American bids. AJV Mizuno has
already qualified Open (twice).
Nice work! |

So, which teams actually qualified with the trickle down? I know it went to at least fifth place, did it make it all the way to sixth?

I think there isn't a limit on trickle down - the bids are given to the region w/o those kinds of restrictions. (Just don't quote me on that). The
website says one National and three American so I am assuming:
1. Texas Juniors - National Willowbrook Red - (already qualified American) Alamo (already qualified American) 2. AJV Navy - American 3. AJV North - American 4. Woodland Stars - American |

Somebody needs to congratulate the Texas Juniors...so I will. Way to go girls! You took on several more heralded clubs and beat them soundly. Nice work!

The other teams may be "more heralded", but the Texas Juniors have proved all season they can hang with those teams. A great defensive team who
plays with a lot of heart. I was not surprised to see them win it all. Congratulations!

Thank you all for the kudos- being one parent of aforementioned, it was very rewarding to see our ladies finally grab the brass ring after being a
"bridesmaid" so many times this year. It was especially rewarding to see them wind up 4-0 versus previously qualified teams for this year.

Well, it could only trickle down twice. Since WB & Alamo already had American bids, they didn't take any of the American bids that Lone Star had,
therefore these two bids trickled down to the two teams in the Silver finals. If either one of them had won the National bid, they would have accepted that
National bid and their American bid would have gone back to the Qualifier they won it at to be reallocated (?). Then there would have been only one American
bid to trickle down. At least I think I am right on this. Either way, a big congrats goes out to ALL teams who qualified, trickle down or not.
