Does anyone have a problem with the seed situation for second round. The teams that finsih first and second in their respective first pools play each other
again in the second pool. Against two other teams that played together in the first pool as well. Although this is because the exact number of teams makes
the snake perfect so to speak it doesnt seem fair to have to beat (or lose) to the same teams twice so early in order to advance. Thoughts?

round 2 | ||

NC I agree with you , that the round two pools are strange that you will have to probably beat a team twice to advance on. Also, looking at round two if
you are connected with the BV mizuno team which I suspect, your round two pool of what could be TT black, TT teal, Xtreme black and BV mizuno is the toughest
pool from top to bottom in round two. I feel for the bottom two teams in this pool because any one of them could place at least second in the other round two
pools and still have a chance to qualify. Good luck to your team and the others this weekend.

not connected with bvj other than plenty of friends within program however that would be a really deep pool in round 2. I am concerned with the fact that there
is a major advantage not normally given to those who win their pool in round one. They are assured of at least one team they have beaten to be in the next pool
rather than having to go up against totally different teams. Match up problems that exist maybe only once can get expoited twice in connection with advancing
to future bracket play by the same team. I am all for having to beat the teams in front of you to advance but not if it is the same team over and over and so
quickly.

Same problem was fixed in 13s | ||

That same problem existed for a short time in the 13s pools but it has been corrected already. Expect the same oops-reversal for the 14s.

Yes been corrected as well, not looking forward to new potential matchup, but it is the right way to do it

Not sure how they came up with the seeding but I think it looks like they put a lot of emphasis on TCS standings. TRV 14 Elite should be the #1 seed in the
tournament because they have proven they are the best lone star representation, out of the teams at regionals, at 3 national qualifiers. The other team with a
complaint would be AJV Navy as they placed 3rd and 2nd at 2 national qualifiers in club.
Big South: SA Xtreme - 4th Open TRV Elite - 3rd Club Southwest - 9th Club SoCal TRV Elite - 2nd Club Lone Star TRV Elite - 8th Open SA Xtreme - 13th Open (losing to TRV in 2) Houston Juniors - 15th Open AJV Navy - 2nd Club Southwest - 5th Club I guess the girls wil just have to prove it on the court! |

I have to agree somewhat with Garrett in terms of who is playing the best right now. As for body of work SA XTREME consistantly played at Division 1 during TCS
stops and in Big South so I can see from a body of work standpoint how they got the #1 seed. That said I think I would not want to go up against the hotest
teams, AJ Navy and TRV right now. It is how you peak at the end that dictates the value of the season not how you played at the beginning (see Colorado Rockies
last year) . That said I think if seeds hold true the top 8 teams will battle for the 4 spots and the one National bid available.

the way the seedings fall SA Xtreme and SW Asics will only have to beat one top ten seed to advance to the gold bracket and assure their ticket to Dallas. SA
Xtreme will have to probably beat one of (Maverick, Stars blue, Xtreme black of TT black) n their challenge match if the seeds hold up to punch their ticket
to Dallas and SW Asics will have to beat one of (TEJV, Xtreme black or TT black) to punch their ticket.
Looking athead at the challenge bracket #4 it should play out with AJV blue playing TRV with the winner getting a chance to play for the national bid and the loser going to silver giving the winner of the silver bracket an american bid due to the trickle down factor with AJV and TRV having already qualified for an american bid. Potentionally if AJV or TRV win the silver bracket the loser of the silver bracket or 6th place finisher would get the bid. Also does anyone have any trouble with the setup for this tourney with the girls having to play Sat morning and then again at 8 or 9 Sat night and back up and at it at 8 on Sunday morning with some of these teams having the potential of playing up to six matches on Sunday to qualify. There will be a few girls who will sleep well on Sunday night. Good luck to all this weekend. |

Why not just get on the court and prove yourself. TRV needed to worry about showing up to play volleyball and not about the seeding. Bad showing a t Lone Star.
Maybe TRV and SAXTREME need to get back on the court. Not a great showing for SAXTREME at Lone Star but I believe they are the better team.
