If a team enters with an American and wins an american it trickles down. If they enter with an american and win a national the american goes back to the
qualifier it was won at. Straight from Will Vick himself in the men's dept at wal mart..lol

You're not in trouble.. We just have to wait a year before anyone can even try to ask for changes. Not that they would change anything!! It's amazing
how many people are displeased with the Lone Star regions lack of ... well, anything.

Here's another tidbit of information while searching the Lone Star Region's website:
LONE STAR REGION VOLLEYBALL REGION A Historical Profile The Lone Star Region, which covers south and east Texas, was created prior to the 1980-81 season when the Southwest Region was di- vided into two separate regions. The Southwest Region encompassed Texas and Oklahoma and was itself created from what veteran players will remember as Region IX, which took in all of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. The Lone Star Region's membership has grown from its original 919 members to 8,720. For the past 26 seasons Will Vick, a retired United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, has remained the Region's only commissioner. |

If they enter with an american and win a national the american goes back to the qualifier it was won at.According to USAV, the only time a bid goes back to the qualifier and gets re-awarded to a different team after the fact is if a team wins a Club bid and then subsequently earns an Open bid (at a qualifier or through the at-large process). Though the USAV documents are a little fuzzy in who exactly gets the National/American bid in this scenario, it is clear that this only applies to teams that later earn an Open bid, not to teams that win a "higher" bid from their region. 2008 USA GJOVC Pre-Tournament Manual, Chapter 2 Page 23, "Requirement to Use Bids" |
