still looking for instructions for AES & how to look up the complete "list" of at-large teams

Eye think you will find the complete list on page 3 of this thread.
The at large selection system is really pretty good. Eye can recall Eyespawn II's team as 16's. Eye think Colo will remember them. We lost (badly) to her older kiddo's team in the 1st pool at XRoads and then came back to beat them for the reyeght to go to the Gold bracket. They finished 7th, 23rd and 7th at Xroads, Cali and Lone Star. They beat one of the at large selections head up (who only went to 1 Q). Another at large selection was in our region and it appeared from here that something smelly was up. After a lengthy exchange of info, Eye found out the system in place was actually queyete fair and took "politics" out of the process - something Eye am thankful for. if still in place, the system will work well again this year. At large selections rarely finish 25-28 at Nationals.

if you wrote in english I would know what the heck you are talking about......last year, previous years....this year.....can't tell......I agree - except
for the year when FW results were wrongly submitted - I think good teams get selected in general.......no "bad choices"....

colo1 -- I completely agree with the "english please". Although I am sure both vbeye and tonysoporano have valid things to say, I cannot get through
their posts with their "eyeese speak" and "mafia slang".

So I did a little research and this is what I found. These are the teams that have not qualified but did finish in the gold (Top 6) in a qualifier and thier
finishes in the Q's. I checked the results on USAV but let me know I am missing a result. I am worried about Cincy and TCA as I could not find more than
one result.
TCA: 4th San Gabrielle Ellite 4th, 23rd Circle City 4th and 9th M1 6th and 9th Cincy Classics 4th |

TCA 16-Third Degree played club in the So Cal Qualifier. They lost in the finals to Force 16-1 and accepted an American Bid i believe.

I'm not a smart guy, just a good salesman, but It's good to know that other people have trouble reading VBEye's posts. I wish I studied more in
College! VBEye, keep it up, it just takes me a few more minutes to figure out what your saying. I guess I need concentrate! Hay that's what I tell my
daughter!

THe list of teams is incomplete...I know of a few more teams who have the box checked in AES, but not on this list - that's why I think it is incomplete.
I also read a post that this list was pared down for simplicity, which to me translates one user's opinion that certain teams do not belong. I understand
why this user was doing it, but I was interested in seeing who all applied, that's all.

Of the teams in discussion, TCA-CA has accepted the American Bid from Southern Cal, Cincy Classics have accepted the American Bid from the Ohio Valley Region,
M1 has accepted the North Country Region's National bid.
Some of the other clubs that have finished in the Gold have accepted also - IPVA accepted Iowa Regions American Bid, Synergy has accepted Keystone Region Bid, M1 has accepted North Country Region's bid, and Alamo has accepted a National Bid from Lonestar. Do these have any effect on who gets consideration for the OPEN - at large? |
