HOA regionals | ||
|
Congrats to all the teams earning bids this past weekend. Truely a stressfull day with single elimination hanging over their heads all day Sunday. My question,
"If any of the teams that got a bid through regionals earn a bid at NL, does the regional bid trickle down?"

Yes if one of the teams that placed 1st or 2nd at regionals happens to get a bid at a NQ then the bid will tickle down. Also you can look at power league. If
the winner of power league gets a bid then that could trickle down to a team that placed at regionals and that would bring the bid down as well. Lets hope that
happens and more teams from the HOA will represent our region at nationals.

Congratulations to Topeka Impact and KC Power for earning a bid to Nationals. I watched all the teams play and I kept coming back to KC Power team. They had a fire in them that I haven't seen before in other tournaments. They were literally breaking down every team they played. I think they were so excited to be in the Final match that they loss there focus for the final match. That team is getting their second wind. |

I meant to say congratulations to Topeka Elite for winning Regionals. Congratualtions to all the HOA teams that have qualified for J.O. Tournament. It has
been very exciting wathcing the 17 teams play. The competition has been fierce out there. Keep up the good work girls. I am proud to be a part of the HOA
region. I have gone to a lot of tournaments and I believe we have the friendliest parents around.

Would the bubbles listed from HOA regionals get a bid from a trickle down or do trickles start at the power league level first then go to regionals?

Bubbles... | ||

...in the post were related to the next team up for a Reallocation Bid (RB) should the region receive one, assuming that any RB be given to the next team
in-line by their finish at the Regional Championship.
...but you're correct in your statment that there are several other factors still in play that might bring addtional bids back to the region with the best chance being one of the teams currently holding the Region's bid to National Club from Power League qualifying for Open at one of the two remaining NQS or receiving an At-Large to Open. This would (should) result in the Power League National Club bid trickling down to the next team at Power League...and that could start off a whole chain of event depending on where the trickle-down team receiving the National Club bid finished at Regionals. ...really wish Topeka Elite 17s had signed up for Open at Northern Lights instead of Club. They might have done some damage, are certainly competitive at that level, and it would have been great to have the Top-4 17s team in the region up there. 17Open had a team drop resultling in an uneven number of teams should Topeka be on the board and listening...and be able to move up at this late date.

Elite is missing two of there strong players. There best setter and one of there best hitters. I agree though, they could do some damage if they were fully
staffed in open.

I see that Topeka Impact, KC Power and KC Extreme are all in the same pool for tomorrow. What a bummer.

Hmmm... | ||

...Guess I see the contrary. Three HOA teams in one pool. Impact already qualified. I can see the Impact coach reining his team in a little enabling both
Power and Extreme to advance to the Top-6 bracket. Impact coach is not a real competitive type of person and will "take one for the region"
I'm sure....

Did they get a new coach? Just kidding, I really don't know much about him. Kinda new to the scene. They don't play until tomorrow. Maybe someone can
call and pass on the info.

Looking forward to tomorrow's games. It is a shame one of the three HOA teams in that pool will not advance to the gold, but that's the way it goes. As
a parent of a daughter in that pool I don't want anyone to relax, lets just let the girls and the ball decide, as I'm sure it will. Have friends on all
the teams. Good luck to all tomorrow.

Newpost, do you suppose he read your post? Or maybe you were serious and I misunderstood you. Looks like some unexpected wins at Minn amongst the HOA 17 open
