I don't remember the specific thread, but the complaint centered around the use of the word Olympics when you define it as part of the Olympic Games -
every 4 years, international competition, a variety of athletic events - and then use that definition as it applies to JO's - every year, national
competition, only one athletic event. The complaint was that it wasn't a true Olympics in the strictest sense of the word. Oh well!

When it's complete, the list will be on the USAV site. Until then, you have to compile it using each of the NQ sites.

USAV site has a qualifier results section. Pretty easy to compile list from there.

On the Girls page, http://usavolleyball.org/juniors/08_gjo.asp, you'll see the section in the
middle titled 2008 Qualified Teams. It gives you Open, National and American bids earned through April 16th (including those in Natl and Amer earned through
regions).

In 18 Open, it looks like there are 5 already qualified teams out of 32 total at Reno this weekend (Epic Ozh, Golden Bear, Long Beach, Nike NW and Vision).
After NLQ, I believe that there are 23 qualified teams in 18 Open. It would be surprising if more than 1 or 2 teams get bids at Reno with this strong of a field and with the trickle down only going to 6th place. So, with 28 teams total in 18 Open at JOs, does that mean somewhere between 2-4 "at-large" bids will be awarded? |

Currently there are 3 At Large bids in 15-Open
Northern Lights this weekend has a 20 team field and 5 qualified teams, all of which may finish in the top 6. 0-2 At Large bids could be added Far Westerns has a 27 team field (unofficially, they havent updated teams list in a while), with 4 Qualified teams in the field. 0-1 At Large bids could be awarded here. Potential total At Large bids for 15s could be 3-6. |
