Knoche aces for Power. But Power hits long. It's 22-14 (they had the score wrong before)

Brittany Fossier on the quick attack from Davis. Bid point for Premier.
Church saves one. How close can they make it? |

Fossier slides and scores. Premier wins the bid. I could almost have predicted that!
Congrats to Dallas Premier. |

Thanks for the updates!
With 4 of 6 in the gold pools previously qualified, that leaves at least one bid for 18 Open At large consideration. Are there others? |

Wow. I'm stunned. Not sure I've had enough time to fully digest this, but my initial reaction is that this was very poor leadership on the part of the
club. Think about it this way... what if... what if this team qualified for open... and then made a great run for the national championship, or even won it?
What an opportunity for these girls... and what a story that would have been. It was a golden opportunity for these girls.
Instead... they throw the match? What is that teaching these girls? That they're not good enough? That they had no chance, so why go compete? I'll allow that there may be more to the story. Maybe they have no intention of even making the trip, and they didn't want the penalty associated with not taking an open bid. But why even go to NLQ then? Looking forward to hearing the "other side" of this debate. |

What a decision that the club made. Frustrating that they had the "power" to knock others out who were wanting to go to JO's. Agreed that if they had no intention of going, they should have dropped to the club level. Will be interesting to see how this develops. I do not even begin to grasp the complexity of the nature--but IF they had qualifed and had seniors heading out to summer school--they could have put some replacements in for them on the roster (it says it's frozen--but there are loopholes). Then the remaining could have played some incredible ball at the highest levels and received some great exposure. |

Not the usual way to get a bid, but they have it -- congratulations, girls!
