Just because you qualified does not mean...
You could, for instance, get a bid by finishing sixth at a qualifier with only 20 teams. And another team might not get one despite being fourth at a 48-team qualifier.
Sometimes the best teams don't have bids yet.
So, Front Range 16 Blue is seeded 5th overall and lacks a bid. This is one of the scariest teams out there and will be a favorite to medal if it reaches Open at JOs.
But how can a team that finished 5th out of 23 teams at one qualifier and 7th out of 28 teams at another qualifier be seeded 15th out of 19 teams at Northern Lights? It doesn't add up.
If there were more information given out about how the seeding is done, I'll bet that it would help improve the process in the future. There have to be some errors in either the algorithm or in the information that is being inputted.
