Are there going to be any referees at this Championship in June? With many of the National and Junior Nationals required going to Dallas or Sandy (Boys), who
will be left to work this event?
Maybe the parents can ref for the coaches. |

I predict a bidding war for the refs between JVDA and USAV.
May the deepest pockets win! (HMMM, do we now know the reason for the JVDA seed money collected from the Dells tourney?) TH |

wouldnt you think USA would have a little influence over their "highly" rated officials. I guess my point is couldnt they threatent to take away
status of anyone going to a non-USA event if they do run short? Not saying they would, just a question?

Heck those "elite" JVDA teams are so good they don't need officials

How many referees are able to get from the PrepVolleyball.com Classic to JDVA Championships to Boys out in Utah? That's 15 total week days of reffing.
Unless you are in education, most people do not have or want to spend all their vacation time reffing. Also, I have not seen or heard of any contact person for
the Louisville tourney yet.
With JDVA not being a required tournament to renew certification, why would a national level ref want to go there? Most national refs that I know of want to either make money or just do boys matches because (sorry!) the girls are too slow. My guess is that there will be a lot of Pioneer and Hoosier Region regionals and provisionals at this high level tournament. It will be good training for them to work with those coaches. |
