Looks like a big upset right out of the gate with SCVC-18 Nike (#1 overall seed) going down in straight sets to AVA of Texas. Anybody see what happened?

...love to enter the discussion but (as usual) AES can't get the darn results posted in anything resembling a "timely manner". It's now
10:43 and the results for the vast majority of 8:00am matches are not available...

...a couple quick points!
1. Each official enters the results immediately following the match and before being assigned their next. 2. Based on the above, the information is in the system no more than 10-minutes after the match. 3. The standard has already been set by the other system, Midwest Volleyball Warehouse, used at most the NQs, Omaha and Nationals last year. Postings are "real-time" as it's posted, it's available when posted not several hours after a match. 4. AES has struggled to meet the standard set by the above competition for over a year now without success. It has indeed improved over last year, which was near worthless, but again it's not even close to the competition or adequate to keep anyone, coaches, players, recruiters, families, etc posted on results, competition and next court assignments in anything close to "real time". 5. On my player's last match, she had left the court, the building, showered, ate dinner and was just walking back to the hotel by the time the last match was posted...that's ridiculous! Give them a break indeed.... |

There will be at least one bid awarded here. 5 of the remaining 8 are already qualified (AVA, Tornados, Cajunland, Mad Frogs, and TAV) with Woodlands,
Victory, and Tampa all needing to take at least 3rd for the trickle down. Should be 2 very intense pools tomorrow morning.

Any comments regarding the relative strength/weaknesses of the 4 top 17 open teams at LS?
I was able to see the Austin Juniors play Extec and was surprised to see Extec struggle with ball control and some uneven play at OH. I had heard they were playing real well up until that point. Austin Jrs. have it all going! Even without their primary setter, they seemed to have offense built into their genes. Loved seeing Tatsch wailing on it. |

Congrats to Austin Jrs. When both teams have multiple match points in a championship match, what more can a fan ask for? The only disappointment was when the
match was over.

Even without their primary setter, they seemed to have offense built into their genes.All teams should be so lucky to have 2 incredibly talented setters as AJV 17 Mizuno has! Must be nice to get to pick and choose and still have such an AWESOME team. Congratulations ladies!!! A class act team! Sara B rocked once again with her WORD!

Re: #1 seed in 17 Club | ||

We did not drop "due to AA problems or flights". We dropped because of a conflict back in February and received our refund over 8 weeks ago. Have no
idea why we were still listed in the tournament on the day it was beginning...
