I don't know who seeds this tourney...but they need to get fired... please someone speak up with me...
You would think with a region as big and strong as ours...we could get some real thought into this. I will be the bold one to speak up and say something if no one else will. |

I will just keep my mouth shut and let the teams do the talking. Once the tournament is over, you will see exactly what I am talking about. Some of you out
there that are reading this entertaining banter can easily come up with some statistics once the tournament is over to determine how far off the initial
seeding is.
Some might think (like "VD") that I just complain, however, there is no excuse for this region to not have adequate means of a ranking system. I just think that there needs to be a change. It is my opinion that some clubs/teams are rewarded for things despite what their record indicates. |

Even if you were being more specific about what divisions you are talking about I wouldn't be able to look at it because I cannot get anything but a list
of divisions now. Is anyone else having that problem? I just get url error messages.

The Sun Country Region does have rankings but they don't matter. There are teams in every age group at Lonestar that are seeded way low or way high. We
have teams that haven't made it out of pool all year and they got a one seed or two seed. Then we have teams with a 3rd place finish being their worst of
the year. Also Lonestar has other qualifiers to go off of. This qualifier is seeded awful every year and there is no accountability from AJ's. We should
know the seeding process. Man up and post the seeding process on here.

Maybe we can do like JVDA and start our own system and call it LSRS (Lone Star Ranking System)

AJ's should at least list some kind of criteria. That way everyone knows why the seeds are so bad or maybe they are perfect under their system.

The problem with rankings here in the Lone Star region is that a heavy emphasis is placed upon Tour/TCS and if you fail to qualify because it is early in the
season (and seeding is even more messed up). And the fact that their are not to many quality tourneys outside of Tour/ TCS. That said a system could be
developed using strength of field and a point system in place. Most Lone Star teams do not stray far from Lone Star events until March with the exception of
Vegas/ Omaha and a few North Texas region tourneys. But the region either doesnt have the funds or resources (or both), yet we wait to get seeding for tourneys
from the region for many tourneys??? Why bother if it is not being kept?
