I don't understand all this talk about fields being weak or strong or whatever. Who cares??? If kids are playing volleyball and enjoying it and the competition is well matched (or at least by the second day is well matched) what does it matter if so and so is not in the field? That's like saying that local AAU volleyball should not be valued because their tournaments are not strong fields. Just think how many kids get to play volleyball by having all the choices. If all the "good teams" want to stay in their own little world then that's fine. I just think that parents should remember that this is a game that teaches life skills better than many sports and dwell on the huge numbers of positives of this game.
