I'm very impressed with the class Harvard has matriculating in the fall. AC Ingersoll, Paige Livingston, both very talented.

Can we talk Ivy League? |

I'm always disappointed at the dearth of Ivy League discussion. Surely there exist out there those interested in the goings on?

Fantastic!
I have not heard much out of Penn and Brown, but I heard Dartmouth has some very good Texans coming in, Yale has Bridget Hearst, and Princeton has Cathryn Quinn, both very bright young girls. I also know nothing about the new coach at Columbia and how things are progressing there. |

PHILADELPHIA - The Penn volleyball team announced the Class of 2012 Wednesday, welcoming three new players to the fold.
Logan Johnson is a 5'10" right-side hitter/defensive specialist from Phoenix, Ariz. A three-year letterwinner and captain her senior season, Johnson helped lead her Xavier College Prep team to three consecutive Desert Valley Region championships. Logan plays for Club Red Volleyball Club team.
"I think Logan will add her defensive prowess to the team immediately," said head coach Kerry Carr. "Watching her team win as the underdog in the state championship showed me her determination to make sure a ball did not hit the floor on her side of the net. I look forward to seeing her push our defense to a higher level right away."
Corinne Rich is a 6'2" middle blocker from Santa Rosa, Calif. A three-year letterwinner and senior captain at Montgomery High School, Rich was a four-time North Coast Section scholar athlete and two-time Redwood Empire Scholar Athlete of the Year nominee.
Her team's Offensive MVP as a junior and senior, Rich was first-team all-league and all-Redwood Empire each of those seasons. She also garnered second-team all-league recognition as a sophomore. In addition, Rich is a member of the Empire Volleyball Club.
"Corinne adds more strength and height to next year's powerful team," said Carr. "Those qualities that are uncoachable, combined with her quick learning curve of the collegiate technical game, could translate into her contributing sooner rather than later. I look forward to seeing just how she can raise our bar during her four years at Penn."
Virginia Senf is a 5'10" right-side hitter from St. Paul, Minn. A four-year letterwinner and senior captain at Woodbury High School, she led her team to the 2007 Section 3AA and Suburban East Conference championships, ultimately finishing fourth in the state.
Senf was a member of Club Adidas Select for four years before playing the last two years for Northern Lights Volleyball Club.
"Virginia is one of the quickest and most versatile recruits we've added to the program," Carr said. "She can hit all three tempos, and with her powerful lefty swing, I look for her to challenge in both the right-side and outside hitting positions right away. It will fun to see how many options we have with her in the line-up the next couple of years." |

anyone have the entire list
|
Final admission decisions have been made. Does anyone have the entire list of incoming frosh? The league should be wide open next year with everyone but
Columbia being a potential champion.

Everyone? Don't know about that. Princeton returns everyone but the libero.

Can't Wait For Next Season.....

I think Princeton, Yale and Penn will battle for the title with Cornell pushing them to the limit. Princeton returns their entire team except the outstanding
back row of Jenny McReynolds and Emily Turner. Congratulations to both of you for your outstanding volleyball careers and best of luck in the future. Princeton
will be solid at all positions in the fall and determined to repeat. Following their 14-0 sweep of the Ivy title last season makes the Tigers the team to beat.
Then again, I am extremely biased. Good luck to everyone.

Penn will be interesting to watch, given the number of starters they graduated, but Megan Tryon is ready to take over.
