Copy the first link from above and watch one of the year's most tragic, yet inspirational stories. Louis Mulky, a husband, a captain, and a coach loses his
life on the day after his 1 year wedding anniversary fighting a fire at a local furniture store in Charleston, SC. Here is another link to ESPN's cover
story back in February. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/highschool/columns/story?id=3269083

My 12-year old, ESPN fanatic, son actually called me over on Monday morning and said "mom, you have to watch this." Both he and I were silent,
mesmerized and had tears in our eyes. I love watching these ESPN stories on Sports Center, but this one just made such an impact. I re-watched it on the
web, then made my husband do the same. My prayers go out to his wife, his players (both basketball and football), the other coaches and his fellow
firefighters. He was certainly an inspiration to all who knew him. Ok, have to stop typing now...the tears are coming back.

You can go to ESPN.com and type "Summerville" or "Mulkey" (sp?) into their search bar to get the video. |
