I think they considered it and yes, you could definitely call the director. They will be honest I hope. I know ours would be on where she stands and why an offer wasn't made yet. Good luck, and so far I like the offer system. It is a benefit to the kids waiting out their like your daughter who is maybe in line waiting for someone to take or not take an offer ahead of her.

In the past, when a club offered a player a position, the offer stayed with the player until the Monday or Tuesday following the last tryout Sunday (this coming one) We had players kind of holding clubs hostage as they tried out a couple of clubs or more to see what offers they could get. Because of this, a club could offer player A a spot, not offer B a spot or offer her a 2's spot, which doesn't make her happy. B then goes to another club and accepts an offer there. A then decides that she really wants to play for Club C. B would have preffered to play at Club 1 but didn't feel she could wait.

We also had clubs pushing more to accept offers and parents and players didn't always understand that the offer didn't expire and they couldn't take it away. I know I was unaware of that rule the first year my daughter tried out.

Now the offers return to the club this Thursday evening. The club can reoffer immediately if it is a player they really want. Or they can move on down the list and make someone elses day!
