Here is some summary data. Because the rankings for 15s only went to #35, I used this as the cut off for all rankings. Below that, a club is honorable mention in the age group.

There are six clubs that had a team ranked in each age group. I list them in their average rank of their top team in each age group:

Texas Advantage: 6.25
Sports Performance: 10.5
MAVA: 13.75
Team Z: 16.5
Vision: 17
Illini Elite: 19

All us Club parents have been doing all these years is paying up front for our kid's college education, so we all pray for some sort of scholarship to offset the costs. It all adds up--club fees, travel costs, uniforms, shoes, etc. My daughter started playing Club in 5th grade (and went to JO's that first year--in addition to the other travel we did--the v-ball bug bit all of us hard and kept us coming back) year after year. You are darn right I distract my spouse from ever...

Lets just set up a system where the cost of the club gives certain disadvantages to the team. Say for instance the standard is $2500 per season, if a club dues are $3500 then they start off down 4 points to those who dues are $2500 per season per set. Make for interesting strategy....lets lower our costs so we can get a point advantage over Team X and only give Team Y 2 extra points. Then we could have a tourney in which USAV only plays other USAV only, JDVA plays JDVA then the finals...

Stop confusing me with all of your "Facts" and "Logic". :-)

To really find out who are the top performing clubs, what we really need to do is ask the USAV to give us a year end tournament that would pit deserving club teams across all ages against each other. These teams would need to qualify for this tournament based on merit in some regional competitions during the year to identify the best performing teams to represent the best of the best from each region...

...really like and agree with your post but the point of the thread was recruitment and extrapolation into in a list of Top Ten Recruitng Clubs..so I went with and responded to the threads theme.

If indeed it's about the love of the game and earning a diploma, I can do that for a lot less than $6000 a...

Mava saw the rankings, which we all know and respect or we wouldn't be reading here, asked himself a question, invented a stat, did some work and some math and provided us with the benefit of that free of charge. Thank you very much Mava.

Any statistic is only worth what you do with it. I think that this one clearly shows that TAV has had an awesome year by any standard. Congratulations to them.

I just did it for fun, as I thought others might find it interesting. It does speak to a level of performance during this season across those teams that JT ranks.

I guess that those who don't find it that interesting aren't members of a club in the top five!

It's interesting, but certainly does not present any argument about which are the nation's top clubs for myriad reasons, including those noted earlier and that it looks only at the top teams in an age group, not depth or coaching or recruiting or ...
