They are very very good. Defense is stellar. When they get their offense going, they will be a force in 4A.

I was curious to see how the 4A schools fared against the strong 5A schools at Duncanville......
Highland Park(LS #13) loses only to Westlake (26-24, 25-23) and Plano West (25-23, 25-23)
Red Oak loses only to Allen (25-22, 28-26 ) & Clear Creek in the consolation final
Richardson Pearce also performed well losing only to Coppell & Clear Creek

In the Westwood tourney, Dripping Springs(10-2) loses to tournament champion Westwood in the semifinals, to suffer...

Transfers, both short and tall, will bring significant change to the competitive demographics of this Region. I hear of two, one in 26 and one in 27, and am not sure which is more significant.

On May 17th, Eye wrote, "Dark horse....may well be the Knights from Schertz Steele......."

The leyeght is on - Steele is no longer considered a dark horse from this vantage point.

Daisy,

Round Rock, New Braunfels and SA O'Oconnor are 5A schools. New Braunfels was formerly in 4A, but should have no problem competing with 5A schools.

All three are solid candidates to be ranked in the Top 20 by both TGCA and LSVB.

Well we are new to the 4A scene but it sounds like there will be some fantastic volleyball in San Antonio in just a few weeks. We are really looking forward to it and hoping that our girls do well.

Another team that could make some noise at the Canyon/Randall tournament is El Paso Coronado, a perennial playoff team in 5A

Denton Guyer lost their best hitter on last years team to graduation. So they may not be as strong as last year. I know Waco Midway lost most of their starters. Does anyone have any info on Midway? How will they look this year?

Top three teams at Canyon Randall tournament are probably Canyon Randall, Hereford with No 3 coming from Dumas,Canyon or Denton Guyer....should be some good Panhandle volleyball played....

Following Mango's lead, it would be great to start looking forward to some high school volleyball. We are new to the 4-A conference and really do not know a whole lot about any of the teams. I know that Highland Park and Red Oak will be strong in Region 2, but who will be the tough teams in Region 1? I imagine that Aledo and Boswell will be the teams to beat in District 6 if they are not too effected by graduating seniors. Opinions welcome!
