A very tough qualifier and many players with great skills and a lot of heart. No one more so than KJ (number 7 I believe) who played awesome; but was kind enough to share some throat lozenges with an opposing player who had been ill all weekend. The air in Reno is cool and crisp but very dry. This small act of kindness helped her through the day and they did qualify. So these events aren't just about winning they are about bringing out the best in people. See you in Dallas!!

Sorry I couldn't get you that San Gabriel update sooner. My Sprint card decided at the Convention Ctr that it was time for a hardware upgrade and needed an extrenal power source, not a battery, to install it.

Congrats to SG for the three-set win over Vision for the last bid and to the Vision 18s and 17s and TAV 16s and 15s for their titles.

Congrats also to NorCal 16-1, which rode the Rat all the way to the 16 Club title, which finished up at 7 p.m. PDT, the latest...

Ball control, ball control, ball control. Everyone played well for TAV this weekend. Jen Neice was awesome in the contrasting jersey and both Kirks and Jordan Raines shined on the pins

All Open bids but one have been decided, but not before a ton of exciting, nail biting matches with huge implications.

In 18O, KJ and Colo Perf both lost their first two matches, which qualified TAV, Laguna and Sunshine from Pool 2. TAV is playing very well right now and will play Vision in...

When there's a lot on the line, the volleyball is just better. That's the case this morning, especially in 18O pool 2, where Sunshine just won a Game 1 with Colo Perf, 32-30, when Alex Jupiter took over.

Sunshine needs the win to avoid falling to 0-2 (so does Performance for that matter). Sunshine lost a three-setter to TAV, which then won a 29-27 Game 1 versus Laguna Mike before romping 25-10 in the second. The top three teams in this pool will qualify if KJ, which lost its...
