Maybe they'll get good enough where they can post results so far in advance that we won't have to actually play the matches...think of the time and money saved!

....accessing the results for Northern Lights on SUPT. Notice the program name has changed (?) to REAL TIME RESULTS, which indeed they are, but are they taking a "shot" at their competition AES with the name change? They are fast though and the name well-deserved, I'm thinking they're posting some results before they actually happen!

It used to be D4 Sports, but apparently D4 has been acquired by ClubSpaces. The only info they have about their tournament scheduling software (that I can find) is at:

in the right column towards the bottom.

...AES is now down to #3 in my favorite VB scheduling systems. Just visited the FAR WEST site and am really impressed by the look of that system...anyone know what they use? SUPT remains #1!

SUTP is good for the juniors format, but they do not want anything to do with anything other than pools of 3, 4, 5, or 7 (all jrs pool sizes). AES is more flexible with running odd sized tournaments,

Expectations? Simple a system consistent with SUPT. OR "Stable" "Updated" "Performing" and "Timely"

Sorry but I did find this kind of funny. I realize objectives can often take a back seat to passion but I think you meant "Stable" "Updated" "Timely" and "Performing."

I know Saturday night you could not get updates from AES on 16 or 15 Club to see how brackets were going to work out until 11pm or so. Most of the teams had finished in the morning wave. I never really had a problem at Reliant but away from Reliant was not good. Also under SUTP you can easily see the whole tournament - pools, reffing assignments etc - you can access the grid. In AES you constantly have to skip from pool to pool and bracket to bracket. Awful time consuming to find out who you...

I have used Midwest's system as an official for a few years, and have rarely, if ever, had a problem with it. I can think of one time in at least 6 tournaments I've used it where I had trouble inputting, and when I told the tournament desk about it, they reset one setting, and I was good to go. The other problem I had was user error.

It's a simple system to enter the results, doesn't rely on one person getting backed up with data entry responsibility, and ensures...

I am not defending AES, but I am asking what exact expectations you have/had as a participant in an AES event this year that have not or were not met. My expectations would be to be able to access my teams results and schedule within a half hour to 45 minutes of completion of the final match of the pool. or the same time frame after completion of a bracket match. I actually assisted a coach Saturday evening arund 9 ...the last match in their pool had finished about 20 minutes earlier...we...

The competing system is both more intuitive to use, and consistently more up-to-date. If they can do it, then AES can, and should.

A year after it's deployment, AES continues to struggle in providing updated information to the volleyball community. As evidenced by their performance at Lone Star this weekend, delays in getting results posted can be anywhere from one to five hours on completed matches. Even during updates, AES must down their entire system providing those trying to access information a blank screen with some default like "please check back our system...
