All the complaints about seeding and now no comments about how it all turned out? I am curious to compare the seeding with the final results but don't have the time after spending 3 days at Reliant

The LSC looks like a dog fight in the 17 Open. There are 4 x 3 Team pools for Gold (12 teams).
Pool 1 has (2) qualified teams
Pool 2 has (2) qualified teams
Pool 3 has (2) qualified teams
Pool 4 has (1) qualified team

Top team goes to Gold final
2nd place goes to Silver
3rd place goes to Bronze

Must be exciting...

I got an error message when I tried to open the pdf directly from the website - an object error or something like that. (I got a white empty box in the middle of the pdf). I went ahead and saved it to my desktop to see if it would work, and it opened fine.

I never said it should be just that that is the way the ranking for years from, Lone Star were done. However this year no rankings by the region.

To much is based upon how you do at qualifer for tour...out of the year end championship if not in division 1 and this is based upon the first 3 weeks of the actual tournament season.

It will be interesting and this is one of the better age groups. So many deserving teams and only 2 (in club division) spots to give, this is why I...

Well it shouldn't be about the Tour. There are ways that can hurt or help teams as far as finish goes. All some teams had to do is win one match to stay in Gold in some of the stops. A team can have two wins and ten losses and still be 8th overall. That shouldn't be a reason to keep them ranked above another.

Finally a decent thought to ponder on... Are we sure that this is the way LS does its seedings. And where does it say that. Maybe if they posted that somewhere, people like me would stop complaining that they don't know what they are doing and giving out christmas presents in April.

I think the people that coplain about seeding when it is just a couple off need to focus on other things. When it is much more like 30 off then the complaints are more justified.

I agree with Woody that just because a team qualified in an earlier qualifer, does not mean they should be ranked higher. But it does seem that teams who were at the same qualifier and finish lower would not be seeded higher than a team that did qualify. I'm sure there is some rhyme or reason to it all and when it comes right down to it, all the teams better come to play!

Just because someone qualified early, doesn't mean they are better than a team that has not yet qualified. The qualifiers this year, perhaps more than any other, have high variability in degree of difficulty.

I would be fairly sure that folks who did seeding tried to take previous accomplishments *and* degree of difficulty into account.

A related comment about difficulty... it is VERY HARD to assert that a later qualifier is harder than an earlier qualifier basedly...

But come one guys, isn't everything better in Texas (I.E. Lonestar) ?

Really though, the must give a lot of weight to both the perceived strength of their previous tournaments AND the finish in the Tour of the TX teams. In 15 open, their are numerous teams who are already qualified Open seeded under teams that are either not qualified, or qualified club.

Eye cannot recall a club being seeded lower in a club division than they were in their previous open qualifeyeer. Get seeded 14th and then finish 7th at NEQ gets you 18th or so in Lone Star Club. Eye assumes you would have to consider the overall strength of the club division at LSQ is better than the open field at NEQ.

I think that AVA is seeded higher because they have been playing in Open and El Paso Wildfire has not. From what they are telling us the seeding program takes in match win/loss ratio and factors in the field. If that is true then AVA has the advantage for facing a...
