Hi everyone out there in volleyball land. My daughter and I are about to head out on a "college road trip". We are clueless and don't have any idea on what to look for, what to ask, what to know!! Is there anyone who can help?? What questions should I ask. What is something I should look for in the coaching staff? My questions are endless.

My daughter is trying to decide on committing to Div. I school but we really need to find out more about the head coach. She would be a very long distance from home and we just want to talk to players he has coached in the past to get some other opinions. I am very new to this whole recruiting and scouting thing. As my club team season ends I am beginning to think about high school volleyball. I was wondering is it likely that there will be recruiters at any of the HS varsity games? My high school is a really small rural school in MO. we are a 3A but we play some 5A schools. I know a graduating BB player, good kid, academic all-american, BS in Psych, minor in sports mgmt - the gig he had lined up as a grad ass't recently fell through - he's of course pursuing this on his own, but I thought some of you might know of an opening at your school that I could pass along.

Frequency of injuries on college teams

Does anyone else think that collegiate players are injured at a higher rate than Junior players, even though Junior players play lots more matches? I have been going to some spring matches of schools from the Big Ten, Big Twelve, and Big East, and every team has several players recovering from injuries. Not that no one ever gets injured playing volleyball, but college players haven't played a match that counts since last November, and yet they are injured. Compare that to Junior...
